Grape Observer - Arneis 2012
Pleasant: Sassy "The Ivor" Arneis 2012
"Sassy's vineyard is situated at 900m above sea level in the Orange region, and the arneis vines were planted in 2009. To supplement the already cool climate, the grapes were picked early. I happen to like arneis based wines, and while I found this wine perfectly pleasant, I wondered whether it would benefit from a bit more hang time in the vineyard. The wine itself is bright and has a pale intensity and lemon colour in the glass."
